The Dodgers was founded in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, the same city where they played their initial games. Back then, they went through various nicknames before being named the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932. They kept their name after moving to Los Angeles to play in the 1958 season. The Dodgers have played in the World Series 18 times and have won it 6 times. They hold the record for winning the most National League pennants (21).
Los Angeles is the home of the Dodgers. This is one of the world’s most popular cities and the largest in California. It is where many of the most recognizable landmarks can be found, including Kodak Theatre, Chinese Theatre, Griffith Observatory, Chinatown, Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, the Capitol Records Building, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and of course, the Hollywood Sign and Dodger Stadium.
